How to get started?

Reach out via email @ hello@recoupandreliefcounseling.com or call the office @ 330-636-5000. We'll discuss what you're looking for and get something scheduled! We're flexible with scheduling, so we'll find something that works for you.

What should you expect at the first session?

In the first session, we will address your reasons for entering therapy and together, we'll develop a treatment plan from the goals discussed. The treatment plan will be individually created to best meet your needs. We'll discuss past treatment that you’ve received and how you’ve tried accomplishing goals prior to attending therapy.

How often are sessions?

Sessions are typically 45 to 53 minutes and are either 1x a week, bi-weekly or monthly depending on your needs. Clients may need more time in the beginning and may transition to monthly as it becomes clinically appropriate.

Do you offer teletherapy or in office sessions?

We offer both, the choice is yours. We offer online clinical therapy via HIPAA compliant, telehealth video sessions. There are many benefits to teletherapy such as inclement weather, exposure to illnesses and saving time with busy schedules. Teletherapy offers the chance to still be able to attend therapy before work, on lunch or after. We have an office located in Medina as well if you'd prefer in person sessions.

We will gladly submit your information to your insurance provider for you if you're out of network. Late, Cancelation and No Shows

We understand that emergencies happen. However, we are an appointment-based practice, and our therapists arrange their schedules around your appointment time. For this reason, we require a 24-hour minimum cancellation by phone or email. In the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours prior) or no-show, the fee is $50. We will either charge this fee to your credit card on file or an invoice will be mailed to you. Please respectfully call or email and let us know as soon as possible so we can cancel or reschedule your appointment. For late arrivals, your appointment will still need to end at the schedule time, so that it doesn't infringe on the next client's session. However, if we must shorten the appointment due to being late, you will still be charged for the amount of your session. Insurances are not applicable to your late cancellation fee.

Do you offer clinical supervision for LSW's?

I currently offer supervision. Please reach out to schedule.

Good Faith Estimate "The No Surprises Act "

A new consumer protection law called “The No Surprises Act” went into effect on January 1, 2022.  You have the right to know how much your medical care will cost.

Here’s what to know:

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
  • Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurpriseswww.cms.gov/nosurprises  or call 1-800-985-3059.
