ALEX MIRO, MSSA, LISW

Clinical Therapist

Alex is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. She brings warmth, authenticity, and a grounded presence to her therapeutic work, supporting clients in navigating trauma and emotional challenges with compassion and curiosity.

Alex’s approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with somatic techniques, helping clients reconnect with their inner resilience and sense of strength. She believes that healing happens when we learn to listen to both the mind and body, and she tailors her work to each individual’s unique needs and values.

Alex has a special interest in working with adults who identify as deep thinkers or who are processing experiences of trauma, depression, or anxiety. Her work is collaborative and empowering, guiding clients toward stronger decision-making and self-trust.

Instead of focusing only on symptoms, Alex will help you get to the root of what keeps you stuck. Together, you will explore how past experiences and current stress show up in both your mind and body. You’ll learn new ways to calm your nervous system, feel more present, and rebuild trust in yourself, so you can move forward with greater clarity and ease.

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, Alex also recognizes how trauma and chronic stress can impact physical health. She often collaborates with and refers to functional medicine providers so clients can explore underlying physical health factors that may be contributing to emotional struggles - such as thyroid, gut health, sleep, or inflammation.

Outside the therapy room, Alex enjoys practicing yoga, listening to the blues, cooking nourishing meals, and spoiling her two dachshunds, Calvin and Winston.

Alex is available via telehealth only.

What to know: My commitment to you is to always do my best and always show up present. Going to therapy is brave. I'm not going to judge you. Healing is hard. We work together, but you do the work. You can heal. The therapy path is not linear. I am proud of you.

I have experience working with all populations with various mental health diagnoses. Areas of focus have included: depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, trauma and PTSD, dissociative disorders, and eating disorders. I also affirm LGBTQIA+ and that such a safe, affirming space is available.

I use a compassionate, respectful, non-judgmental approach. The approach is determined by the presenting problem and client preference. There may be a combination of approaches used in order to achieve desired results.

Mental health counseling can benefit people struggling with emotional difficulties, life challenges, and mental health concerns. It’s a wonderful, caring, and compassionate thing to do for yourself. Think of it as being a good parent to yourself and getting yourself the professional support you need and deserve. Your mental health matters.

Clinical Counselor

Each individual in the therapeutic alliance is the ideal client for one simple reason - we are each uniquely in a rut, stuck, or confused. To this end imagine being in a pit of quicksand without any sense of direction, worth, or hope. People will walk by and offer advice on how to get out. Others might provide a utensil or medication. Yet none of these address the immediate situation of being in the pit of quicksand. With over 15 years' experience, I have learned that clients want someone who will get in the pit with them, without question or judgement. They just do not want to be stuck alone. So, I offer to sit with them and just be present.

Being present with a client, regardless of situation and without judgement is the largest point of service and support I provide. My foundational theoretical approach, rooted in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, allows for challenging of thoughts, but never judgement. My role is not to point out deficiencies, but serve as a confidant and supporter.

Being empathetic to the pains and joys of others is difficult. At times clients may perceive no one will understand, so we do not reach out. This approach is useful because it protects us from more hurt. It is this up and down journey that makes the process of counseling such a rewarding experience. Thus, I invite you to reach out and begin your journey.

Matt is accepting new clients in-person in Medina and via telehealth.

tabitha selerowski, mssa, lsw

Therapist

I'm Tabitha and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with extensive experience in the field. I also hold a trauma-informed certification from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and am passionate about helping clients navigate their unique healing journeys.

In my sessions I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and experiences. My approach is empathetic and client-centered, focusing on guiding clients towards their goals while also providing the necessary encouragement and push when avoidance hinders progress. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal in time, and my role is to support that process.

I love working with couples, adults, and older teens, using a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual's needs. For couples, I utilize the Gottman Method, which emphasizes strengthening relationships through improved communication and understanding. For other mental health conditions, I integrate different therapeutic techniques to find what works best for each client. As a Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) trained provider, I also offer support and guidance for parenting issues with young children, helping parents develop effective strategies for managing behavior and fostering positive family dynamics.

Transparency and collaboration are key components of my practice. I ensure that my clients understand the therapeutic process, and together, we explore and discover the most effective strategies for their healing.

Outside of my professional life, I am a proud dog mom of three and enjoy adventuring with my husband.

I look forward to working with you and supporting your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Micah Wright, MA, LPC

Counselor

Many people come to therapy after a long time of trying to manage anxiety, depression, or substance use on their own. What we often discover together is that these struggles are tied to deeper patterns that shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how you handle stress. My role is to help you uncover those patterns, understand where they come from, and begin to work through them in ways that create lasting change. I keep up to date with outcomes research and comparative trials of different therapeutic approaches, and this knowledge shapes the work we do together.

In our sessions you’re free to say whatever comes to mind. As we talk, echoes of the past and patterns in the present begin to show themselves, often in ways that haven’t been fully seen before. When we notice these patterns together as they unfold, new choices and new ways of relating become possible.

People seek therapy for many reasons. Sometimes it’s the weight of old pain, sometimes it’s current struggles, and sometimes it’s a hope that life can feel different. Whatever brings you here, therapy is a place to make sense of what you’re carrying and to move toward change that lasts. If that feels like the next step, I invite you to reach out.
